Behind Fufi’s Salon & Spa is a passion for helping people feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. What began as a love for beauty has grown into a full-service salon and spa that welcomes clients from all walks of life.
With more than nine years of professional makeup experience and a team dedicated to quality service, Fufi continues to combine creativity, skill, and genuine care in every client experience.
I’m Fufi Berhanu, a professional makeup artist, beauty educator, and entrepreneur. Fufi’s Salon & Spa is the result of years of learning, working, and growing within the beauty industry, both in Ethiopia and abroad.
My goal has always been to create a space where clients receive professional care, feel welcomed, and leave with confidence.
I was born and raised in Addis Ababa and attended Lycée Guebre Mariam, where I developed a broad perspective and a strong appreciation for different cultures.
At the age of 17, I moved to the United States to continue my education. I graduated from high school in Colorado before earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Management from Marymount University in Virginia.
Although business became an important part of my journey, I always knew my passion was in the beauty industry.
To pursue my passion, I moved to Atlanta and trained at GMMA Academy, where I graduated at the top of my class.
After completing my training, I worked with Black-owned businesses in the United States, gaining valuable experience in business operations, customer service, and client care while continuing to grow as a makeup artist.
Those experiences taught me that creating a great client experience is just as important as delivering beautiful results.
In 2020, I returned to Ethiopia with the goal of bringing together everything I had learned abroad.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including weddings, fashion events, photoshoots, and commercial productions.
Some career highlights include providing makeup for the Africa Celebrates fashion event, where I worked with 45 models, and contributing to the Genet 30th Anniversary Fashion Show for both fashion models and opera performers.
These experiences continue to shape the approach I bring to every client, whether it’s for a special event or an everyday appointment.
Fufi’s Salon & Spa brings together a variety of beauty services under one roof, including salon, spa, makeup artistry, barbering, and seasonal microblading services.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, the team focuses on understanding each client’s needs and providing services that feel thoughtful, professional, and personalized.
Clients visit for everyday beauty routines, important milestones, special occasions, and moments of self-care, knowing they’ll receive attentive service in a welcoming environment.
